A whopping 30% of your credit score is based on credit utilization. You can pay off your card bill before your statement is generated to avoid that, but that takes effort and laying out money well before you have to. Additionally it’s good to have the statement close with a couple dollars to show the card is active and being paid every month. On an business cards from banks like AMEX and Chase it’s just not reported, so you can wait until the money is due without it having a negative effect on your score. That also means if you close the card, it won’t have an effect on your credit score. … [Read more...] about Reader Question: Which Chase Ink Card Should I Apply For?

-We were upgraded on the flight from Newark to Houston. The aircraft was a 777-200, the same airplane that Continental flies on international routes, like from Newark to Tel Aviv. It was my first time being in the BusinessFirst section of that aircraft since Continental switched from their old style BusinessFirst seats to the new lie-flat seats. When we were in Maui last time with Rafi we took a sunset picture session on the beach with Wailea Photography. The pictures were stunning and many hang in our house today. If you mention DansDeals then you’ll also save $50 off the prices listed on the site. This isn’t a paid ad, I just really loved the pictures we got.
