Activision hosted a live-streamed announcement event to give the public their first glimpse of gameplay from the upcoming title, which stars Josh Duhamel as an American soldier and part of the player’s unit – the ‘Bloody First’. Some guys are great at recording all of their trips and the value of each mile burned. I’m not that precise, but I went back several years, tracked down my flights taken, and posted them on DDF for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. In 2017 I burned through 1,375,570 miles and points. That’s 1.07 million less than I spent in 2016, though my 2016 numbers included the 1.06 million points that I spent to throw out the first pitch and get 2nd row seats to game 7 of the World Series. I also saved a boatload of miles when we had to cancel an August trip to Israel that I had booked 4 round-trip business saver awards on United’s Polaris 77W for 560,000 United miles along with 5 nights in the Waldorf Jerusalem and 3 nights in the Ritzaliya on points as well. In 2017 I flew some 52,306 miles in the air, about … [Read more...] about Here’s How I Burned 1,375,570 Miles In 2017, How Did You Stack Up?
In February, theManchester Grand Hyatt San Diego had a price mistake where all of their rooms, including the presidential and penthouse suite with club access, were priced at just $171 for stays from November 2017-March 2018. There was no communication from the hotel, but several commenters have stayed in the presidential and penthouse suites and received club access without issue. In September, the Grand Hyatt New York allowed members to redeem 12.5K points+$125 for a Grand Executive Suite with club access. Normally that cash+points redemption is only valid for base rooms. There was no communication from the hotel, but commenters have stayed there as well with that rate. Last month, the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos all-inclusive hotel had a price mistake where all of their rooms, including the Ocean Front 2 Bedroom Grand Master Suite with 2.5 bathrooms, 2,335 square feet of space, and club access, were priced at just $291 for stays from April-June 2018. Follow my travels and more on Instagram @DansDeals The hottest plane ticket last year was for United flight 747 from San Francisco to Honolulu on November 7th. Premium cabin tickets sold out in minutes and coach sold out shortly after that. I grabbed 2 business class awards as soon as United announced in September that they would be holding a special final flight for their 747. I may not have been old enough to fly the Concorde, but I wasn’t going to miss this celebration. I have lots of fond 747 memories from childhood plane spotting, to first class cabins on airlines like Korean and Lufthansa, and to the amazing 747 trip I took with Rafi last year to San Francisco. United’s 747 is as iconic as they come, having flown its first flight from San Francisco to Honolulu back in 1970. No other airline will hold a 747 celebration like United. 47 years later … [Read more...] about Trip Notes: The Final United 747 Flight And 2 Days In Maui
