Teachers are the backbone of society. Without their hard work and dedication, it's hard to imagine where we'd be, so it's only right that businesses give something back to Canadian educators. The thing is, relatively few teachers are aware of just how many discounts are available to them. When you start digging, you'll discover a huge amount of offers for teachers, from tourist attractions to apparel stores. We couldn't accept this situation any longer, so we've put together a quick guide to how to find stores that offer teacher discounts and many other ways for classroom servants to save cash. Round-The-World Trip Notes, Part 3: Melbourne, Australia.

Continued from:Round-The-World Trip Notes, Part 1: Khao Lak, Thailand. Round-The-World Trip Notes, Part 2: Chiang Mai, Thailand. Here are some more trip notes from the round-the-world trip my wife and I took for a month between December 2010 and January 2011. Australia had long been on my bucket list, so it was really exciting to finally make it down under!  I hope these notes will prove useful for somebody.  You can read more of my trip reports by clicking on the trip notes tab. This trip was made possible by AA’s unique OneWorld award chart where we flew around the world in first class for the cost of opening up a few credit cards.  With myriad of rules it’s not designed for beginners though. I helped prepare for the trip down under with info from the Australia Master thread on the DansDeals Forums,-Fodor’s Australia-Lonely Planet Australia-Lonely Planet Discover Australia (More of a “cliffs notes” guide than a comprehensive guide, but has … [Read more...] about Round-The-World Trip Notes, Part 3: Melbourne, Australia.

Trip Notes: Eating Our Way Through Montreal

-Find dozens of trip notes like this one by clicking on the “Trip Notes” tab on top of the DansDeals banner at the top of this site. I was last in Montreal over 5 years ago for my brother Dovid’s wedding. I was impressed with Montreal’s kosher scene and made a mental note to return during a less hectic time, and preferably when it wasn’t snowing outside 🙂 So we planned a trip this year over Canada Day (July 1st) to take advantage of the numerous festivals that occur then. We’ve spent a summer vacation in Canada over each of the past 4 years. -Vancouver (click here for trip notes from 2012) is a beautiful city with a nice vibe and a small but quality kosher food scene.  We didn’t make it to nearby Whistler, but hope to one day. -Banff (click here for trip notes from 2013) is one of the most stunning places in the world. No kosher food, but truly a must-see for everyone.  I definitely plan on returning when the kids … [Read more...] about Trip Notes: Eating Our Way Through Montreal

In 2012 when Singapore started allowing people to redeem miles for the A380 couple’s suite I booked us tickets to Paris just 2 days before departure. It was our 2nd visit to the city of lights, but we enjoyed it so much the first time that we had to go back again. We spent 2 nights at the Park Hyatt there and enjoyed the city in the quieter winter season. In 2013 when BA had a glitch that allowed us to fly to Buenos Aires in first class for 0 miles we dropped Rafi off at my parents and were on a plane within just 2 hours of booking tickets! We only spent a single night in Buenos Aires, much to the shock of the … [Read more...] about Trip Notes Rome: Veni, Vidi, Vici In 48 Hours; United Polaris First Class And Polaris Lounge Review
