Despite there being many disputed territories in the world, Judea and Samaria were the only disputed locations in the world that were not welcome on the Airbnb platform. Airbnb operates everywhere else where it is legally allowed to do so. Today, Airbnb announced that they have settled lawsuits about the ban by removing the restriction. Airbnb says that they will operate in all disputed territories worldwide including the West Bank, but will donate all profits to “non-profit organizations dedicated to humanitarian aid that serve people in different parts of the world.” Airbnb further states that, “Airbnb has always opposed the BDS movement.
