-I requested a suite in the older building, but there are only 3 suites in that building and at first they were unable to fulfill the request. No matter though, we were upgraded to a spectacular Park Executive suite that was possibly the most spacious hotel room I’ve ever been in. The room normally sells on their website for $1,100 per night, so not a bad deal for 18,000 points per night (a value of 6.1 cents per point). The room had 2 bathrooms, a vast dining and living room area, an office, a couple of closets, and a huge master bathroom and rain shower and jacuzzi. Not that I don’t have any complaints about the room though. The light switches are seriously poorly conceived. They are too “modern” for practical usage, even their own employees could barely operate them. Also a dozen lights are controlled by a single switch which is highly impractical and switches are not where they ought to be and are quite … [Read more...] about Trip Notes: Buenos Aires, Argentina

I may be a religious Jew, but that doesn’t mean I’m satisfied limiting my travels to the same boring spots every time, just in order to have kosher restaurants. My most memorable trips aren’t to Miami, LA, or Cancun. They’re the ones to Tasmania, Palau, Svalbard, Dubai, Kobe, Lofoten, Florionopolis, Banff, Iguazu Falls, Kwajalein, Guam, and the Whitsundays Islands. But I also don’t care to live off of Tuna and Peanut Butter. I’ve traveled to those places with double sealed gourmet kosher meals that I have warmed up in hotels, vacation homes, etc. Sure, I have incurable wanderlust vice. But I also love doing mitzvos (good deeds) and davening (praying) in remote parts of the world that have … [Read more...] about Antarctica Trip Notes Part 1: Buenos Aires+Planning And Positioning For The Adventure Of A Lifetime

NY Times: “Don’t miss the unique and addicting pizze, dense bricks of sweet dough bursting with whole almonds, pine nuts, raisins and chunks of candied fruit (price varies by weight; a typical pizza goes for about 3 euro each). Baked throughout the day to keep up with demand, they’re usually warm and, like most of the forno’s sweets, are burnt almost to a crisp on top.” … [Read more...] about Trip Notes Rome: Veni, Vidi, Vici In 48 Hours; United Polaris First Class And Polaris Lounge Review
